We’re thrilled to welcome you to the new home of the Humane Society of St. Thomas. We rebuilt our website from the ground up with one goal in mind: making it easier for our community to connect with the animals who need them most.

A simpler way to adopt

The biggest change is our new adoption experience. You can now see every animal currently available for adoption in one place — each with their own photos and details, so you can get to know them before you ever set foot in the shelter. Curious about a particular dog or cat? Their information is right there.

When you find one who feels like the right match, you can request to adopt them directly through the site. No more guesswork about where to start. Once we receive your request, our team reaches out to walk you through the next steps and answer your questions — making sure every adoption is the right fit for both you and the animal.
